Attorney Barbara C. Long
Portland Sex Abuse Attorney
Barb is an experienced litigator, whose practice focuses on representing survivors of sexual abuse in civil actions against the individuals and institutions responsible for the abuse. She knows her way around a courtroom, having tried numerous cases to verdict and argued countless motions and contested hearings. In 2018, she and her law partner Randy tried a sexual abuse case against a church to verdict where the jury awarded $800,000 in damages.
As part of her practice, Barb also volunteers for the Legal Aid Services of Oregon-Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Victim Rights Law Center, representing individuals in contested restraining order hearings against their abusers. Prior to joining Vogt & Long, P.C. in 2012, Barbara practiced for five years in Chicago where she litigated Section 1983 police misconduct cases and personal injury matters.
In her spare time, Barb enjoys spending time with her family, hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and cycling. Barb lives in Portland with her husband and two young children.
